PLANNING MEETINGS
LGBTQ Ministry planning meetings are held quarterly on the fourth Sunday of the month from 1:00pm - 2:30pm on the All Saints campus. We invite you to come and share your ideas on how LGBTQ at All Saints can meet your needs as a LGBTQ person at All Saints, and opportunities to volunteer.
LGBTQ MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
LGBTQ at All Saints offers opportunities to explore our spirituality, exercise political activism, build friendships, provide care to one another, and have fun. We maintain a balance of these different types of activities so a diverse range of needs are met. All events are open to the entire Church community. Some of our ministries are:
Outreach Table - The LGBTQ Welcome Table -- on the church lawn every Sunday morning -- welcomes all visitors seeking information about LGBTQ at All Saints, particularly new visitors, and listens and responds to questions, comments, and concerns. The Outreach Table is a gateway to the LGBTQ journey of faith at All Saints, and as such is vital to building and maintaining a spirit of community.
Potlucks - LGBTQ Potlucks offer the opportunity to share food and fellowship. Potlucks often feature a guest speaker sharing their spiritual journey, a presentation, issue of interest, or entertainment. Potlucks are held quarterly on campus.
Small Groups - The Small Group ministry provides opportunities for LGBTQ members and interested persons to grow through exploration of issues, themes, and ideas in a safe and intimate environment, using books, dynamic speakers, or members' special interests as a unifying base. Participation in an LGBTQ Small Group is a great way to share your spiritual growth, struggles, and questions.
Pastoral Care - The Pastoral Care ministry serves as a bridge between sexuality, identity, spiritual care, and God. The Pastoral Care Coordinator, whose number is listed on the All Saints website, can direct you to further information and resources.
Political Advocacy - Jesus taught us to pray for God's rule, God's way of using power, to come to earth as it is in heaven. Our baptismal covenant asks for no less when we swear to strive for justice and peace for all people. LGBTQ's political advocacy seeks to empower its members to live out this vow by providing information, encouragement, and opportunities to work for the inclusion of all people in just and merciful community.
